101   Bill Cooper, an operator at Gonzales (Victoria) Wireless Station. Most likely in the 1930's.

102   A lad horsing around with a pail on his head. The location is unidentified but there are a couple of clues--the first is the driftwood porch and the second is the lay of the land in the back. I think it may be the Bull Harbour Station.

103   Two painters at an unknown station.

104   Alert Bay photo. Two chaps admiring a large native carving. They may be radio operators from the station.

105   Chas Aitkens' 1926 Radio Operating Certificate. He has been examined on shipboard Marconi equipment. Photo is from the back of the certificate.

106   On the back it says "Static on the old junk box". Receiver is a "Universal Radio Receiver Type 707". Differences noted between this and photo 017 is the positioning of a typewriter where the receiver is in this photo. Tube transmitters in both photos. Also notice the 'new fangled bug key' in use instead of the Morse type. Most likely Estevan again, but at a different period.

108   This photo, 109 and 110 have the same people in them. Chas Aitkens did a stint of a working holiday on a CPR Princess ship. Chas is on the right.

109   Chas is on the left. The wavy sleeve rings on Chas may signify something. (In WW2 I think it meant you were a navy volunteer--but this photo was taken before that time and is on a commercial vessel.)

115   Ray Spouse, wireless/power house operator on the left and wireless operator Phil Eldridge on the right. Photo taken at the base of one of the light tower's buttresses. Period is the 1930's.

117   Person is unidentified on the photo taken at Estevan Point in the 1930's. Could be Phil Eldridge?

118   1924-25 at Bull Harbour. Note on the back: "My best girl and I on the beach. The office is in the extreme left hand corner & our house & one mast behind me."

   Fran Aitkens adds: "The child may be Zola Tee? or one of the Harris's children?"

   Operator Chas Aitkens is the subject.

119   1924-25 at Bull Harbor. Note on the back: "Our mail man at work sawing wood on the beach. Harris's and Tee's houses, respectively."

   May 10/09 Ken Gibson emailed me and said: "That's a "Gilcrist' log Jack. Nobody knows what that is anymore -I got three or four -I collected. Ken"

120   1924-25 at Bull Harbor. Note on the back: "Mrs. Harris".  This would be the Effie, the wife of operator Lofty Harris.

   Read a letter from Operator Chas Aitkens describing 1925 Christmas at Bull Harbor. Also contains a letter from February 1926.

122   1924-25 at Bull Harbor. No note on its back. (Chas Aitkens is second from right. Possibly Tee on right?

123   "Mrs. Tee at her gardening. Entrance to Harbour in the background."   Bull Harbor wireless.

125   "Tee in the boat".  This would be operator Harold Tee. Time is 1924-25.

   (Poking around on the Internet I found this motor appears to be a 2 HP 2 cylinder Johnson Model A from 1922. Frank.)
